Health center redesign

The "Health Center Redesign" project, initiated by the Taiwan Design Research Institute in partnership with the New Taipei City Health Bureau, focused on revamping the Xizhi and Yingge District Health Centers. Shiang Ye's Pleats Beam Chair was selected for these centers, featuring a natural warm white color to ease patient anxiety and tension. The use of movable furniture was a strategic choice to accommodate the high mobility and spatial flexibility required in health centers. This initiative significantly enhances the comfort and functionality of health settings, creating a calming atmosphere and meeting diverse operational needs.

Through a refined approach of subtraction design, this project skillfully transformed the space, signage system, and ceiling lighting, offering a fresh aesthetic experience. Adhering to the principle of not altering the original structure of the historical site, the redesign showcased the station's character with a renewed concept.
